I'm Back......! And Taller!

Okay I'm not really any taller than the last time I wrote on here but here's a brilliant idea for me to gain an inch... Or eight.

Christian Louboutin's inspiration for this heel came from the English Ballet (it actually looks like a ballet slipper with the bow at the foot) and is covered in Swarvoski crystals. I hear that famed R&B singer Beyonce' bought a pair herself. As if she wasn't already on top of the world, she'll be a little closer to Heaven with these Red Bottoms on.

Angels Among Us

So yesterday as I was dropping off cold medicine to a dear friend of mine, we noticed a man wandering around her apartment building. She doesn't recognize the man and I surely don't so when he approached us, we were nervous to say the least. He began to tell us a story of how he fell asleep on the bus and missed his stop in Detroit where his premature baby was being born and then told us he was not sure if she was going to make it. After he poured out his life story to us, he asked for a couple dollars to catch the city bus to Pontiac. My friend and I refused the man (She didn't have any cash on her and I wasn't sure what would happen if I reached in my purse) and with a defeated look, he thanked us and walked out the door. As we stood there conversing, I watched the man cross the street and go in and out of buildings probably telling the same story.

This is where my dilemma starts...

How do you know when a person less fortunate than you is being sincere and really needs your help as opposed to a person who may only want your money for their next hit? It's a hard "mind battle" that I have been facing for the last couple weeks. A few weeks ago, while I was driving my mother and I home, we saw a man standing on the corner of Corunna and Ballenger with a sign that read something beyond my memory now. After a moment of silence, I asked my mother, "how do you know when you should help a homeless person?" her reply was "you don't know. But you never know what Angel you may be blessing so you have to have faith." That's a hard thing to do. I don't want to support a person using money to buy drugs or alcohol; however, I don't want to bypass an angel. A couple years ago, the homeless shelters in Flint did a report on the percent of homeless people in the city. In 2009, there were 2,961 homeless people in the city. There's no telling where that statistic is now. The state of homeless people is a national crisis. Not since President Clinton have we seen anyone is a strong position try to eliminate this problem. So when will it end?

Timothy Bloom - 'Til The End Of Time ft. V

Til the End of Time by Timothy Bloom feat. V. Bozeman

This song is by far one of the better duets I've heard in a long time. It's a single from an up and coming artist (Timothy Bloom) from his debut album The Budding Rose And who is V. Bozeman?? Her voice is A M A Z I N G. Although, they're nude it's still classy with a touch of sensuality.

Dope overall

New Kid on the Block

So I started working at Whaley Children's Center this past December. Its been a struggle, the kids are not always willing to work with you (that'd be too easy), and I often get punched, kicked, spit at, and called outside my name. Like everyday actually. But as difficult as its been, I wouldn't trade this experience for anything.

Recently, we got a new kid. She's from Detroit and to say that she's difficult to work with is an understatement. The first day I met her she questioned why I was there, called me a b*tch, and had a smart mouth. Needless to say, I restrained her the first day I met her and since then, I haven't had an issue from her. She may be my favorite kid. This may have been my first bit of intervention because now when she's upset, she speaks to me about it. I'm still trying to figure out more ways to help this young lady adjust (she's never really been away from home and she's having a hard time adjusting). Any suggestions? Trying to convince a 10- year-old girl to trust you is hard.

Mirror, Mirror n the Wall, Who has the curviest body of them all? :/

So I came across a disturbing article yesterday

The story was about a young lady from East London so desperate to have the perfect body that she flew to the U.S. (Pennsylvania) to recieve butt implants in a motel. Within another twelve hours of the procedure, the young lady- named Claudia Adertomi but went by the stage name of Carmella London- started complaining of chest pains. After she was taken to the hospital by friends, she passed away soon after. it was said that the "doctor who performed the procedure used industrial silicone and to make matters worse, injected it into a vein. Claudia desired to be famous and had been auditioning for parts for music videos before her procedure wearing butt pads to enhance the size of her bottom. Sure she got the parts in the video but after the directors and producers of the videos learned that she wore butt pads and didn't have a "natural curve," she was released from the videos. It's a terribly sad story of yet another person subjected to our society's image of beauty.

When I read this story, I thought about the story of Sara Baartman. Sara Baartman was a slave who just so happened to have a large posterior. Because of her unusually large backside, slave owners took her around the country as a freak show. Men would come out to see this woman and examine her backside and even touch her. When she died, doctors used her genitalia to run tests and try to prove that African people descended from Apes.

Slavery ended long before our time and the things women were subjected and belittled to has changed very little. The difference between now and then is that we choose to subject ourselves to this. We are misogynized by society and the people around us and we accept it. When is a change going to come?

"And God saw everything that he had made, and behold, it was very good."

Darn Those Michigan Winters

Okay I was being sarcastic on the "Darn" part. I AM ECSTATIC! You see I had a Bio Lecture Exam tomorrow afternoon and, fortunately for me, classes are cancelled! I mean... Not that I hadn't studied or anything but um... Okay anyways! To God be the Glory for his decision to bless us with heavy flurries last night. So I will continue to enjoy the rest of my night eating chicken and dumpling soup, watching Gossip Girl, making homemade oreo mcflurries and tweeting all the while (by the way, follow me @MsSensationalMe). I guess I'll study Homeostasis and a bit about Domestic Violence tomorrow as I'm snowed in. Until then!

Peace and Love <3

Ahhh!!!

Wiz Khalifa's new album, "Roling Papers" is set to release in stores on March 29, 2011. After countless mixtapes, he'll finally have an album. I don't buy music often but I'll definitely purchase this. So look out for the CD, it's coming soon.

Soon couldn't come fast enough

My New Thing

So my best friend, the fabulous Divina Tyne, put me on a television show that I LOVE! Gossip Girl!! I remember when the show first aired but I was never into it. However, after watching the whole season while at work and in my boredom at home (when I should have been been emersed in Biology and the Digestion System). The shows embodies everything you need for a good TV drama:

The Date Rapist who falls in love
The Queen B who becomes dethroned
The Best Friend with a dark secret
Th Bright Eyed Good Girl who wants to be the next Queen B
The Guy who falls in love with a girl who is out of his league (at least it's mutual)
the Guy who chases after the girl who pushes him away
An occasional psycho
And parents who are just as crazy as their kids

Did I mention they were only in high school?

You Know You Love Me ;)

A Day on, Not a Day Off

Today we celebrate the life and accomplishments of Dr. Martin L. King with a day of service. I encourage you all to do something good for your community on this day. But don't let the service start and end on this day. Check your phone books or yellow pages for a list of service agencies that you can start volunteering with. Just do something good.

By the Way

I am in no way affiliated with The Pink Pistols organization. They are a gay, gun rights org that has apparently been around since July of 2000 in the United States and Canada. As I do support anyone in whatever their sexual preference (and gun preference I might add) may be,

I just thought I was coming up with a cool name. So much for creativity.

Je m'appelle Taylor

And the title says it all...

I am femininity with a pretty pink gun handy. Nothing worse than a woman scorned right? Lol just a joke. I'm a conservative person leading a liberal lifestyle. My friends often tell me that there are music notes and butterflies floating in my head because I see the good in everything. But why not? Way I see it, the world isn't great so I choose to recognize the beautiful parts of it. And when the world does show me its ugly side,

I show it my pretty pink gun ;)
